Technical Training Courses
Technical training is a particular strength of Argent Training.
Areas in which we specialise are:
-
Hydraulics
-
Pneumatics
-
Engines, including shutdown systems for operating in hazardous areas
Hydraulic Systems
Hydraulic Courses can be delivered on an ad hoc basis to suit your particular requirements or equipment e.g. Sub-Sea Control Systems. Alternatively, the following standard courses can be delivered with a bias towards the customer’s line of business.

Introduction to Hydraulics:
This 3 Day course covers the following key points:
-
basic principles
-
function and operating principles of system components
-
simple circuits
-
routine maintenance
-
introduction to ISO symbols, incorporating circuit diagrams
Advanced Hydraulics:
A 2 Day course which deals with the following key areas:
-
fault finding/diagnostics
-
interpret and design complex circuits
-
selection of components for circuit design.
We strongly recommend that candidates undertake the introductory course before progressing onto the advanced course.
Pneumatic Systems
Similar to the delivery of hydraulics courses, these can be tailored to suit the needs of the customer.
Introduction to Pneumatics:
Of 2 Days duration the following areas are covered:

-
basic principles
-
uses and limitations of pneumatics
-
air conditioning (filtration, drying)
-
simple circuits
-
introduction to ISO symbols
-
design and build simple pneumatic circuits using purpose supplied equipment
Advanced Pneumatics:
Following on from the introductory course the following topics are dealt with:

-
read, design and build complex circuits
-
fault finding/diagnostics
Engine Shutdown Systems for Operating in Hazardous Areas

-
Function of a shutdown system
-
System layouts
-
Operation of system components
-
Maintenance requirements
